The National Medical College Birgunj is one of the best medical institutions located in Birgunj, Nepal. It was established in 2001 by Prof. Dr. Jainuddin Ansari, the Chairman of National Medical College Company Private Limited. It is properly known as NMC Nepal. National Medical College Nepal is affiliated with Tribhuvan University (TU) and is recognized by the Nepal Medical Council, the Indian Medical Council and the World Health Organisation. Birgunj Medical College has its own Teaching Hospital known as National Teaching Hospital Birgunj. National College Birgunj offers various undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as MBBS, MD/MS, BDS, BSc Nursing, BSc MLT, and many more.
